Parle, the country's largest biscuit maker, can lay off 10,000 employees due to the recession. The company's catagory head Mayank Shah told a news agency Reuters on Wednesday that the company may cut production due to declining sales of biscuits, especially in rural areas. If this happens, there are chances of retrenchment of employees.
